From the other side of the desk

I stumbled upon this great blog written by a high school teacher at what seems to be a prep school somewhere in the Northeast. Now you can find out what your English teacher was really thinking when ze was grading papers on A Separate Peace.

One of my favorite entries is as follows:

I just found out that one of my colleagues is going to the Bonnaroo Music Festival, in Tennessee. Several of my students had plans to go as well. I know it’s a big festival, but I really hope that they run into each other. It’s one thing for students to see their teachers out at the bar. It’s another thing altogether if they drive 20 hours to rural Tennessee, eat a quarter ounce of mushrooms, and find themselves at 3 a.m. sitting across the campfire from their math teacher.
