Absentee voting

In between exams and cafeteria food and Well Dressed Wes, we can sometimes forget about things like, say, “issues”. Ones in the “real world”.

That said, election day is coming! And it’s a mighty important one, too.

Jesse writes:

This election is unlike any in the last 40 years for Democrats. If you stay home in the next two weeks, I cannot tell you the oppurtunity you have missed. I wouldn’t go so far as to say you’ve failed your country and beliefs, but pretty damn close. Please, do something.

Everyone at Wesleyan, this means you. You live within 20 minutes driving time of 3 of the nation’s most competitive races. Volunteer. Door-knock. Call out. Whatever. Do something. You have every reason to.

I just can’t emphasize this enough. Change is waiting to happen. If we lose on Nov. 7, there won’t be much a Democratic Party left to lose in 2008.

If you’re voting via absentee ballot, application deadlines are coming up SUPER SOON (i.e.: tomorrow, or maybe already past, depending on your state).

The Connecticut voter registration deadline is Tuesday. If you register after Tuesday, you’re an idiot, because you won’t be able to vote. Don’t leave it to the last minute.
