A bit of network etiquette

A quick PSA: If you listen to music or watch movies on the network, do not stream them directly from the host computer. That is, make sure you download the files to your own computer first–Usually this is a simple matter of click-and-drag. Otherwise, it really slows down your host and makes things difficult for everybody.

    Thanks! Streaming is not fun. In fact, if you’re streaming off of my computer when I’m trying to watch a movie on the same drive, I may have to pull the share…or perhaps I should just publicize who is streaming from the porn folder (*cough* all of wesleyan *cough*)- DIRELAND
