Wheels of Justice

The Wheels of Justice speakers will come to campus on Nov. 2 in their biodiesel bus to talk about both Iraq and Palestine. They will be around campus all day to answer questions and engage in dialogue with students.

Wheels of Justice speakers discuss the conflicts in Iraq and Palestine, offering their first-hand experience irrespective of partisan politics. The tour canvasses the United States with education, outreach, training, active non-violent resistance, and network/community-building. The speakers coming to Wesleyan University are Dr. Hassan Fouda, who oversaw the recent Palestinian elections, serves on the Board of Directors of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolition, and is a member of We Refuse to be Enemies (Jews, Muslims and Christians in Coalition for Peace), and Joe Carr, an International Solidarity Movement organizer who witnessed the murder of US activist Rachel Corrie and the shooting of British activist Tom Hurndall.

For all of you who came to Alison Weir’s lecture last Thursday, “If Americans Knew,” this is an excellent follow-up to see a different take on the conflict and ask questions/ voice your opinions.
