It’s that time of year again. Wreaths everywhere, Christmas carols coming out of every orifice, fake snow (because the damn weather won’t cooperate.) As I said to the lady at Brooke’s the other day: It sucks to be a Jew at Christmastime. She responded, “Don’t you guys, like, have eight days of Christmas?”
Um. Kind of?
Anyway, the Bayit is hosting its annual [insert your own spelling of the Festival of Lights] Party this Monday, December 11. The festivities will include more latkes (potato pancakes for those of you who have never had the pleasure of their deliciousness) than you could ever hope to eat; performances by a Klezmer Band, The Ebb and the Flow, and the Beat Notion; and, yes, before you ask, STRIP DREIDEL.
The fun starts at 10:00 (ish) and lasts until 1 AM. Come one, come all to 157 Church Street. You don’t even need to know how to pronounce “Hunnukah” (that’s my chosen spelling) to attend.
Date: Monday, December 11th
Venue: The Bayit (157 Church)
