Slowest Elevator: Judd.
Nicest Public Restroom: Fisk, 3rd floor. I’ve seen singles smaller than that bathroom.
Former-Frat-That-I-Can’t-Imagine-Being-A-Frat: Davison Art Center.
Craziest Thesis Idea That Got Honors: “Some sort of thesis about cooking, and having meals represent famous fictional and non-fictional people.”
I can’t decide on the Ugliest Building. Zelnick Pavilion or the entirety of the CFA?
PS: The RSS feed is all wobbly-gobbly. We’ve been messing with the tags, and it re-syndicates whatever we retag. Arrrghh!
PPS: Have you voted? Go vote. Please. We done is slippin’, y’all.
PPPS: Heads up to anyone planning to come back early: Unless you’ve received prior permission, lo-rises are alarmed and their locks have been changed. Though it seems that not every single lo-rise is alarmed, but, uh, that won’t help you. We’re not really sure about communal living arrangements like dorms or hi-rise since athletes have to come back early and there are some people on campus over break, but, ah, be careful… Or just wait until Sunday.
Zelnick is gorgeous. Every time I’m in the CFA I feel like I’m Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg coming to pay a visit to Hitler’s reinforced concrete bunker, circa July 1944. It is an odd sensation. Where is Marshall Zhukov — FGSS?Hall-Atwater is also awful, simply because it is so pointlessly disorienting.

the CFA is NOT ugly. Fauver and Clark are both atrocities.

Thank you, I agree. Zelnick and CFA get a lot of shit for being unusual, but they’re not the ugliest buildings. The CFA is wonderful, and while Zelnick is not as wonderful (the outside of zelnick isn’t exactly a miracle, but I love the basement), it at least has something to say. Buildings that don’t have anything to say for themselves are the ugliest: Hall-Atwater and Fauver come to mind.
