This Saturday meet at Outhouse at 11:00 to climb the Sleeping Giant! This series of “folded angular volcanic hills” apparently looks like a really big guy passed out on the ground. It should be about 5 miles, and they can adjust length based on how you’re feeling. Bring water, a snack, and lots of layers. RSVP to hbraun@wes, and let him know if you have a car.
Get your climb on!
The climbing wall in the freeman athletic center (AKA Mt. Awesome) is opening for the semester. There’s no equipment or experience necessary, just come on down for a good time. The wall will be open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 5-8:30 for the rest of the semester. If you’ve got any questions just email Reid at rhigginson@wes.
Mountain bikers, don’t let a little cold stop you. Ian is looking for company to mountain bike anywhere anytime. He has a car and is willing to show you some of his favorite spots. Email irmacleod@wes if you want to hit the trails.
You, too, can lead an outing!
Anyone on campus is open to lead outings – and it’s really easy. If you want to lead an outing, just e-mail ewyner@wes with a blurb by Wednesday morning with the time, date, meeting place, activity and your e-mail address and she’ll send it out on the listserv.
