Okay, okay, I’m a program housing veteran (I lived in Chinese House sophomore year and I’m currently boarding in Psi U) so I feel obligated to at least try to convince you to go to this.
Wesleyan has 26 program houses/halls, and there’s probably at least one that you’ll find promising. They’re scattered all across campus and house anywhere from 6 to upwards of 30 people (some, like the Bayit, are converted frats, while some ARE frats). You don’t have to deal with GRS or the drama that pervades it, you settle your housing decision weeks before your GRS peers, you get to live in a woodframe with a kitchen and control your own thermostat. The exceptions, of course, are the newly relocated program halls, in which case you live in a freakin’ sweet newly renovated hall on Foss. The Program Housing Fair is just about the only chance you’ll get to see representatives of all the houses together in one place and browse them at your leisure.
And if you don’t care about any of that, you could just go anyways and pick up some free candy.
