State of the Minority Union
Participants will be asked to model their answers after the President’s “State of the Union” address. They will have to touch on both the positive and negatives regarding economical, social, and cultural situations for minorities in America, while presenting solutions for all the problems cited in their speech. Competitors will be asked to speak for 5-7 minutes and will be judged on Content, Originality, Solutions, and Presentation. Prizes: $150 – First Place, $100 – Second Place, $50 – Third Place.
