A friendly reminder and a word of warning we received in our inbox:
WesStaff including Deans, Physical Plant, Public Safety Officers, and ResLife all have accounts on facebook. Many of them have no information posted but yet still have an account. It might be a good idea to warn Wes Students that just because you allow only your Wesleyan Network to view your profile, P-Safe Officers, Deans, and your RA’s (and their bosses) seem to be on facebook for one simple reason.
Snooping Submitter, I wasn’t sure if you wanted your name on this, but let me know if I should add it.

The thing is, anyone can change their relation to Wesleyan (or any other school) in the My Networks section of Facebook. Faculty and staff could just select Undergrad from the drop-down menu and they’d be able to see profiles, even if we disallow faculty and staff and whoever else from viewing our profiles.

go to your privacy setting and unselect “faculty” and “staff” as people on the wes network who can see your profile.~mp

Pfft, for the record, sometimes RAs are on facebook for more than one reason. Such as their own addiction… :P :D
