Struttin’

It’s the fourth Saturday of the month again, which means WESU Middletown 88.1 FM is bringing Struttin’ is back to Main Street. Although WESU’s knight in shining vinyl, Lord Lewis will be out of town, his right hand man, ‘Sir Round Sound’, and WESU’s General Manager, Big Bent, will be there to keep the booties moving.

Sir Round Sound will be spinning a slick mix of rare grooves and classic and contemporary soul. Big Bent will be playing a spicy blend of vintage and new funky music from around the world. This includes everything from cumbias and salsa, to afro-beat and Brazilian funk, as well as some hypnotic eastern European, Middle-eastern, and Asian grooves. Of course no Big Bent dance would be complete without some of his favorite international ska, rocksteady, dance-hall, and dub reggae treats.

So come on out and support WESU at one of the last Struttin’ events of the season. This weekend’s Struttin’ presents a great oportunity to socialize and prepare to say farewell to a great crew of WESU graduating seniors, as well as supporting your favorite community radio station.

Yes, I plagiarized this from Andrea Silenzi ’07. Bring money.
