I can’t tell if this FYI sounds really cool or really gimmicky.
Forensics: The Science Behind CSI
CHEM 198
FALL 2007Section: 01 This course will teach students about the scientific principles and protocols involved in investigating a crime scene. The technology that is used in forensics will be discussed and applied. Proper methods used for evidence gathering, analytical techniques used in investigation, and analysis of physical, chemical, and biological evidence will be introduced. Various crime scenes from accidents, loss-prevention investigations, and other crimes will be simulated.
On one hand, forensics is so effing cool! On the other hand…”The science behind CSI”? Really, do we need to jump on the “we’re-so-cool-we-use-pop-culture-references-in-course-listings” bandwagon?

Lame. I can’t believe that you’re complaining about it just because you think it’s a gimmicky pop culture reference. That’s worse than the pop culture reference itself, assuming there is one (as Ryan, above, stated).Actually, I can believe that (because seeing is believing, right?). And it’s only worse in my opinion, with which you probably disagree. Cool, let’s argue with each other about matters of opinion and effectively annoy the other person and ineffectively change their opinion.God(?), I’m bored.
