Clean Access

So if you, like me, find Cisco Clean Access annoying as all hell, I might have a bit of relief for you.

This should work for non-windows operating systems (mac, linux, iPhone, palm pilot, whatever). When you log into clean access, it gives you a login screen that says something along the lines of “you have now been connected.” Save it. Keep it open in a browser window, and when you connect again, just refresh the page. It should re-submit your login info, and you don’t have to type in your username and password again.

Can people confirm that this works?

There’s no reason it shouldn’t work, since it sounds like your client is simply re-sending the POST w/ the necessary values when you refresh. And yeah, wired+wireless at the same time seems to makes Wesleyan’s Clean Access implementation barf spectacularly.

Yeah, I believe that’s how it’s supposed to work. What I find annoying is the re-logging in if I switch to wireless and back. It also seems to not like being connected to wired and wireless at the same time.

i have a pc, and even though it keeped asking me to login i could still use the internet by only logging in once. SO i right-clicked on the little icon and deselected “popup login window.” so now i sign in once when i turn on my computer and dont have to worry about it unless i switch to wireless or back
