Yawn…

Dear Wesleyan,

You’ve been relatively boring recently
Was Thursday ever a party night?
(I think I heard crickets on fountain.. pine… high… etc at 12:00pm!)
Don’t you know I came here to have fun and um learn?
Ok so there is maybe one big party Friday or Saturday, but that’s it?..
Has psafe just scared you all?

Begin the discussion of the Wesleyan nightlife, now!

the seniors have homework. and thesis chapters. and midterms. and job apps. and around midterms, this is a little too much to give parties for frosh.

Who are you?”Party school?” Our social scene in my opinion is way better and more creative than at any “party school…”I’m not going to finish this because I have better ways to be spending my night, but maybe we’ll chat about it soon at a party.

For the record I am a Psi U brother. We do throw parties right? And anyway at least the beastie boys are pretty sure I’m entitled to party… While I might have been “whining” in my post I really am worried about the state of the wesleyan night life. I don’t think I’m the only one who feels a little depressed when nothing happens. Apparently not everyone cares and or all of the anonymous comments are from people who like to be a dick more than party. In all honesty while I cannot know what everyone on campus aside from my little bubble of friends thinks I can gauge it a bit better from wesleying. My conclusion: Less people than I though want to have a good time and somewhere to go after 12pm on a thursday. Quiet nights/weekends do happen at wesleyan but unless I’m mistaken much more went on last year. Are we really going to all sit by and let our school go from a “party school” to a wannabee ivy? Lame.-Matt

you need to stop expecting fun to be delivered on a silver platter. Why don’t you have a fucking party and stop whining matthew? There are surprisingly few people who make an effort to throw events, and wesleyan students feel so entitled that they complain when things don’t go perfectly (aka mgmt). “be the fucking change you wish to see in the world.”
