Malaria Awareness Week
Monday October 22-Friday October 26
Malaria is the number one killer of children under age five and kills millions of people each year in Africa. The aim of this week is to spread awareness at Wesleyan about Malaria and to fundraise for $10 insecticide-treated bednets that prevent Malaria. One bednet saves one life at the minimum. The money fundraised goes directly to Nothingbutnets.net, a non-profit grassroots organization that distributes these bednets in Africa. There is especially a dire need now for the bednets due to the high number of Sudanese refugees in Chad. Help us stop Malaria!
