“Dr. Martas is Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She was born in the South Bronx to Puerto Rican parents who arrived in the early 1950’s in search of a better life. She is the first to go to college and first doctor in the family. Dr. Martas will be talking about her experience as a Latina in the medical field. During the dinner, anyone interested in going into medicine or who would like to get to know her better will be able to talk with her about her experiences.”
There will be a dinner beforehand at 5:30PM
