Montez: "An Apprenticeship in the Queer Archive"

On Thursday January 24 at 4:30, the Center for the Americas and the American Studies program welcomes Ricardo Montez, who will give a talk on: “An Apprenticeship in the Queer Archive: Cross Racial Desire in Warhol’s Polaroids of Keith Haring and Juan Dubose.” Professor Montez has a, Ph.D. in Performance Studies from NYU, and is currently a postdoctoral faculty fellow in Latino Studies there. He is on campus as part of an American Studies job search in queer studies, but this talk should also be of interest to students working in critical racial studies, performance studies, anthropology and art/art history.
