Singing for Credit

Professor Angel Gil-Ordoñez is looking for about 10 more singers to round out this semester’s Wesleyan Concert Choir.

The choir will be performing Brahms’ German Requiem, together with the Wesleyan Orchestra. It is an extraordinary piece that requires a larger-than-usual group.

Rehearsals are Mon and Wed from 4:30pm to 6:30pm in Crowell. We will hold some rehearsals from 6 to 8pm instead, in order to work together with the orchestra. First rehearsal this Monday.

Performances are
March 1, Children’s Concert (Ode to Joy from Beethoven’s 9th)
May 2, Brahms Requiem.

It’s also a full-credit, graded class, where all you have to do is show up and sing. It’s lots of fun, especially the children’s concert, where the audience is full of cute little young’uns.

If you’re interested, email Angel at agilordonez@wes.
