Rock the Vote

Jesse Young ’06 wants us to tell you that this year–quite possibly for the first time ever in the history of the primary–Connecticut matters. He points us to this poll for CT:

Poll Date Sample Clinton Obama Spread
SurveyUSA 01/30 – 01/31 679 LV 44 48 Obama +4.0
Rasmussen 01/27 – 01/27 899 LV 40 40 Tie

He sez: “For once, all those New York/Massachusetts/California/elsewhere kids have a legitimate ability to help swing a very, very tight election.”

So don’t forget to vote this Tuesday!

**also, just for fun, Tuesday is also Mardi Gras, making it Super Fat Tuesday.

YES. It is still possible. Some kids are leaving at 10:30am from Usdan to City Hall. Bring photo ID and you must register in person.

Not only does CT matter, but the district we are in matters immensely within the state! Many districts send 2 delegates to the convention. That means that even if the vote is split 60/40, each candidate will get 1 delegate each. But our district sends 3. So a 51/49 split will send 2 delegates to the winner, and 1 delegate to the loser.Wes voters might very well throw our district’s third delegate towards one candidate or another!
