Resident Advisor
The Office of Residential Life is now accepting Resident Advisor applications for the 2008-09 academic year. Being an RA is one of the most rewarding student leadership positions on campus. As an RA, you’ll develop invaluable life skills while serving your community; resident advisors play an integral role in establishing a community environment conducive to maximum academic, personal, and social development; maintaining healthy and safe living conditions; and providing overall support of the mission of Residential Life. Orientation Intern
Orientation Interns work throughout the summer as an integral part of the planning and implementation of both International and New Student Orientation. Interns work with professional staff in creating interesting, informative programs and activities for new students. They will also be instrumental in training and supporting student Orientation Leaders, and will serve as point people for specific events during Orientation. Housing is included. SARN Peer Advisor
SARN Peer Advisors are juniors and seniors who work throughout the academic year to support Wesleyan’s faculty advising program, enhance student access to academic resources through the Student Academic Resource Network (SARN), and give peer advice on time management and academic skills strategies. Please urge any students who you think may be good candidates to apply. A job description and application are found on-line at www.wesleyan.edu/deans/peeradvising/. Orientation Leader
Orientation Leaders help to mentor and guide students during both International and New Student Orientation. They also help to manage events, including welcoming international students at airports, working at residence hall arrival sites, informational forums and social events. Orientation Leaders are expected to return to campus on Tuesday, August 19, 2008. All Orientation staff must attend training sessions from August 20-21, participate fully during both ISO and NSO (August 22-September 1), and must assist with all assigned events.
