Disappointed with the large amount of Obama coverage on Wesleying, Anna Pachner ’09 sends us a video, hoping to grab some face-time for the other major candidate in the race for the Democratic nomination, Hillary Clinton:
… It is up to me just as much as any of the [Wesleying] writers to make sure Hillary’s good points are well known also. An important analytical and somewhat non-propagandistic video is this one, where Sanjay Gupta points out the intricate differences between Hillary and Obama’s seemingly very similar health care plans.
I’m abroad in Greece right now, but I can only hope that my Wesleyan peers are educating themselves properly about all of the candidates and not relying solely on the Obama-dominated youth media.
6PM: I should clarify- I know that Wesleying is student-run and that’s why I contributed. I didn’t mean to implicate the Wesleying writers (and that sentence in my quote was poorly worded). What’s with so much anonymous posting?

i think wesleying writers have an obligation not to alienate wesleyan students whose opinions differ from the majority. they have an obligation to maintain a reputation of open and balanced student dialogue in a far-reaching and uncensored medium. otherwise people will stop reading.

“Obama is the most mainstream thing I’m really into”1) Find this person.2) Punch them. If it’s satire, then bravo. I’m amused.

since when are we under the illusion that Hillary and Obama’s healthcare plans are “seemingly similar?” They’re EXTREMELY different. I hate stupid people.

Hilary Clinton cares about winning more than she cares about this country. Fact.

i don’t think any one of the writers of this blog has any obligation to promote any of the candidates. but, while we’re on the topic of candidates who aren’t getting much press here (or elsewhere), here’s a link to cynthia mckinney’s website:www.runcynthiarun.orgshe’s running for the green party nomination (unlike nader who cares so much about building a progressive moment that he’s… running as an independent) and as a representative in the house, she’s done some cool things like voting against the war and introducing articles of impeachment against bush and co. i think a lot of wesleying readers might be interested in her, especially if the electors from their home state are a safe bet for the democrat.

wesleying doesn’t have the duty to do anything. it’s an unaffiliated blog. get over it.

Obama-dominated = Obaminated.

I love how the headline of this post is about Obama, not Clinton. That’s right folks, there are two kinds of pieces of news: Obama related, and non-Obama related=)– Obama ’08!
