Wesleyan Blood Drive

On April 14 and 15 there will be a blood drive in Beckham Hall (next to Usdan). The whole process takes about an hour and each donation saves 3 lives so please sign up! It is an easy way to make a huge difference in a person’s life.

Go to this website to create a profile and make an appointment. While walk-ins are welcomed, appointments are strongly encouraged and make the process run much smoother. If you have any questions about signing up or about eligibility please email Zeeba Khalili at ekhalili@wes.

Hey, of course it’s on April 14, after you’ve already put your blood, sweat, and tears (and senior year) into your thesis and are only a withered shell of a human.

that isn’t true. you can identify as homosexual, you just can’t be man who has had sex with another man, or be a woman who has had sex with a man who has had sex with a man. It isn’t the fault of the red cross though, they have to follow the rules of the fda.

Ok, how does each donation save three lives? What could someone do with, say, a 1/3 pint of blood?

You should do this if you are able to because almost everyone knows somebody who has needed a transfusion because of some reason or another (do you know somebody with cancer? because chances are he/she/ze has had a transfusion).
