WesLAN (Wesleyan’s Premier LAN-Based Gaming Society since 2008) has two major announcements to share with you.
1. This Saturday, April 5th, we will be holding a LAN party to break in our newly-acquired 48-port switch. The event will be held in Usdan Meeting Room 110, starting at 1:00 PM (and going as late as 11:00 PM). No experience necessary, just bring a computer that can play games and an ethernet cable. Or just stop by our room when you come for a meal, you just might be able to sit and play for a while (we may also set up some console games).
2. We just launched an online forum (http://www.weslanforum.com/) that will serve as our center for discussion and announcements regarding WesLAN news and events. Check it out, sign up, give us your two cents, and make sure you’re on the up and up for the hottest gaming parties in town!
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, contact Seth Rosen (sirosen@wesleyan.edu) or Aaron Izakowitz (aizakowitz@wesleyan.edu).
holy shite, mario kart 64?? I really don’t enjoy first-person shooter games (or super smash bros), but I will definitely come if you play mario kart!

Typically people throw out ideas and if it catches, we’ll get it going. Last time we played primarily Counter Strike, Quake 3 Arena Capture The Flag, and a bit of Team Fortress 2 (a few other games got played briefly, but weren’t as notable). We mostly play FPS and RTS. We’re going to have Mario Kart 64 and Super Smash Brothers Brawl, as well. Check out our forum for a sizable list of games that have been suggested so far.
