Vickie Cheng ’10 for junior class representative

Vickie Cheng ’10 is running for WSA Junior Class Representative:

I am Vickie, a Math-Econ & Music double major currently studying abroad in Regensburg, Germany.

Brought up in a country with a conservative culture, however being open-minded to ideas and thoughts, I came all the way from Hong Kong to Wesleyan. In the further pursuit of foreign culture and music, I came to study abroad in Germany. With my unique background and broad experience, I believe I will bring a different perspective to issues discussed in WSA. During my time in Wes, I have taken initiatives from forming new singing ensemble “The Mixolydians” to setting up mentorship program. I promise during my time as your class representative, I will bring in new ideas to WSA and make your life in Wesleyan a better one.

If I am elected, I will focus on issues about ResLife, Campus Accessibility and Dining. For details, please go to this Facebook event.

I also have a video for you:

My time in Germany makes me realize more how much I like and care about Wesleyan. Perhaps it’s true that distance makes the heart grow fonder and I wish to be able to serve you with this fond heart when I come back. Please vote for me at http://www.wesleyan.edu/wsa/voting. The deadline is May 2 (Friday) 11:59 pm!

Thanks!

Love from Regensburg,
Vickie

Go Vickie! Too bad I can’t vote, but all of you sophomores who have the opportunity should take advantage of it.
