Take Back Usdan… tomorrow!

Rebecca Chavez ’08 sends us in some info about the Take Back Usdan campaign we mentioned earlier (ps. kudos to Rebecca for taking an interest in improving student space when she’s a graduating senior!):

Paint, Dance, Doodle, Chalk, Sing, CREATE! Take the first step in making the University Center a STUDENT Center by painting murals in the MPR!

Although the room does not necessarily reflect the interests of the student body as of now, the fact is that it exists and we have asked for and been given the opportunity to change the outward appearance and possibly the feel of the room — to truly make it “ours.”

Come between noon and 2 am on Friday to the basement of Usdan to make your mark on the student center.

Contact Rebecca at rchavez@wesleyan.edu with any questions.

When: Friday, May 9th from noon to 2 am
Where: Usdan MPR

Hopefully painting a mural there will encourage more students to hang out there. Bring your late-night food to the new and improved MPR!P.S. We’re painting a huge window scene on one of the walls, so it won’t be windowless after tomorrow.-member of WeSpace

the multi-purpose room is a small, windowless room in the basement.let’s paint murals where people will actually see them.

technically I think this should be called “Take Usdan” rather than ‘Take Back Usdan’ since it was never ours to begin with. Unless it is the board of trustees that is taking it back—but I guess its always been theirs.really though, I still hate that building with all my heart. I can’t wait to help improve it even if its just slightly. I’d rather knock it down though…
