“jjs iii — her quotes say very plainly that she did not like wesleyan. for at least part of her time studying at wes, she didn’t even live on campus but commuted from ny or something.”And the comment that Alicia Keys made in Blender about the government creating gangsta rap so black people would kill one another was true to her words?? Journalists can’t always keep their shit right. And are we talking about THIS article??http://media.www.dailytexanonline.com/media/storage/paper410/news/2008/04/29/LifeArts/Santogold.Recollects.Wesleyan.Experience.Debuts.SelfTitled.Cd-3354504.shtmlIf we are, there’s not a single place where she talks about blatantly not liking Wesleyan. I don’t know, I can kind of relate to her in a way…Concentrating in painting implies that she had to deal with Tula Telfair and our art department. And, well, being the artist that Santi appears to be…I think they’d have some creative differences.

agreed 10:53 pm, she (and fiery furnaces) are exponentially fly-er than MGMT or Santogold.

well, i guess i get unnaturally excited whenever i find santogold/mgmt/etc in an unexpected place. but i do see what you mean, it’s a little excessive, and silly. also, the pbr comment was (apparently misguided) sarcasm, which didn’t come through…at all. my bad!

I suppose I feel an affinity for Santogold because she also isn’t blindly obsessed with Wesleyan. I kind of hated it there quite often, no offense kids. I loved it quite often too. I don’t know, I think you’re blowing all these Santogold quotes our of proportion by saying that she “doesn’t like wes”. ::shrug::And I’ve never been aware of any moment when PBR blatantly tried to appeal to their demographic. Bud Light Lime is just a total tryhard. As to the criticism that there’s too much about MGMT or Santogold on this blog, give the bloggers a break! It’s summer and it’s hard to come up with stuff to write about while school’s out.I do, however, miss Holly’s posts to avoid brainrot. Perhaps Wesleying should bring that back…?

uh the point of PBR is that it is mad cheap, not that it tastes good or is hip. I mean, yeah it’s cool that Blue Velvet plugged it and it has this hip reputation and whatnot, but the point remains that it is MAD CHEAP. otherwise it would not have nearly as much staying power at college parties. fyi.
