Democracy Matters – take back the election!

Want to help register people in Connecticut to vote? Help other Wesleyan students figure out how to get those complicated absentee ballots? Educate others about their rights as voters?

Democracy Matters is a nationwide, non-partisan network of student activists seeking to put democracy back in the hands of the people.

As the semester moves on and election season draws to a close we’ll keep up the fight to open up our democracy and take big money out of politics. Last semester was spent lobbying for same-day voter registration in CT and campaign finance reform throughout the nation and we won’t give up the fight no matter what happens come November!

The first meeting will be tonight at 8pm in Usdan 136. There will be free pizza, but you should come because you want to fight to take back elections and put them in the hands of the people.
