Come learn how to be a clinic escort and sign up for dates! This sign up is only for this semester, but the group runs year round. There will be another sign up in the spring, but come for both semesters!
There are two training sessions (you only need to go to one):

Where: Usdan B25 (Multipurpose Room)

When: 9/23 at 7pm
Where: Usdan 108 (Taylor Meeting Room)

What we do: In a group of a four (three escorts and one captain), we go to Summit Women’s Center in Bridgeport, CT where they perform abortions every Tuesday and Friday morning. We are a positive, supportive presence. Our job is to escort the women who would like to be escorted past the antis who are present and to the clinic door. There is a strong anti force in Bridgeport. We act as a barrier between their harassment and the women who wish to enter the clinic. We are not affiliated with the clinic, but our presence is both respected and appreciated. What you do as an individual:Each escort will only actually escort once or twice a semester, unless there are not enough escorts to make it through the entire semester. Once you pick a date for escorting though, you are responsible for keeping that commitment. We also ask you to sign up as an alternate for at least one other day. We meet at 6:30 am in the parking lot on Church Street across from Davenport (the old Campus Center). You will be back in time for 10 am classes.
