Audition are open for The Poet and the Rent, a children’s play by David Mamet:
It tells the classic story of a young Poet forced to get a real job in order to pay his rent. Join the Poet on his first trip through a world filled with love, crime, consumerism, and often all three at once. Will the Poet be able to pay his rent? Will he find the love of his life? Will he sell out and get a job in advertising?
We are seeking anyone who is interested in being in a play. If you’ve been a lifelong actor, or are interested in trying it for the first time, we want you to come audition! No monologues or preparation is necessary. Just bring your sense of humor, that’s all you’ll need. This will be a good experience, and a good time for all.
Please contact Dakota Gardner at dgardner@wesleyan.edu if you have any questions.
