The Real Sarah Palin on SNL

Sarah Palin is a ridiculous VP candidate, but a great sport. Watch her guest appearances on SNL this weekend, as she views Tina Fey’s version of herself in a very meta sketch with some celebrity friends:

…and again as she gets down to Amy Poehler’s “Alaska Rap” on the Weekend Update.

Both are hilarious, watch them, but it’s almost poignant to watch her participate in her own skewering like this.

Does she just enjoy the publicity at this point? Is she still expecting to have the last laugh? Is there any remorse about being such an object of ridicule? I want to play the smallest violin for Sarah Palin, but it is two weeks too soon!!!

What do I mean she deserves worse than a loss?!?!? She deserves no less than exile!I’m not concerned with her positions – in fact does she even really have any? What I’m concerned with is her willingness to sell out the whole political process and boil it down to us-rural-white-folks vs. them (aka city slickers, terrorist loving n#$%ers, A-rabs, those who oppose snowmobiling in state parks, and those who think drilling isn’t the answer). Have you been listening? The climate at her rallies is NASTY. She is creating 21st century lynch mobs and guaranteeing that regardless of who wins hate will prevail. McCain’s campaign sucks, but even he had to step back and tell some of his supporters to not “be afraid” of Barack Obama (I’d really love to be privy to his internal monologue; he’s no fool and has to know that he’s sold out entirely), but Palin never will. She thrives off inciting crowds to that near boiling point.RE: the sexism charge – PLEASE! Sexism is not publicly humiliating a vice presidential candidate that knows nothing because she is a woman. Can you imagine if she were a man? If she were a man and made half the comments she’s made Biden would be carrying her/his head around on a stick. As it is, they have to just lay back and let her be her own worst enemy lest they be sexist.

3:25, have you been paying attention to this campaign at all?Someone who abuses power in order to hurt somebody that they have a personal dislike for is most certainly not a ‘good sport’. Someone who makes excuses and claims she has done nothing wrong when she clearly has is not a good sport. She’s a sore loser who is bent solely on personal gain. She is not fit to be in any position of power, and is not deserving of a single ounce of respect. And that’s not even taking into account my opinion of her positions in the issues.

b3, I dont know if thats fair. She is a good sport. I feel your animosity stems from an overarching disapproval of the republican party and conservativism? and what do you mean “she deserves worse than a loss”?

Isn’t the reason why Baldwin isn’t looking directly at her because he’s reading cue cards?

I’ve figured it out! This is all just one big publicity stunt to jump start her modeling career!

Is she a “good sport” or just as stupid as she usually looks? I mean they are clearly not laughing WITH her here, they are decidedly laughing AT her. How could she just sit there and take that? The best part is that Alec Baldwin hates her so much he could never even bring himself to look anywhere near her face! Priceless.Regarding the smallest violin: feel no sympathy for a woman who is so willing to reduce politics to us-white-folks vs. other in such a dangerously simple way. She deserves much worse than a loss.

With her appearance on SNL’s “Weekend Update”, Governor Palin has proven one thing to this voter….That she does have a future…As a news anchor with FOX NEWS.But I’ll give her credit for this…she is a good sport.
