100 Projects for Peace

100 Projects for Peace is an initiative for all students at the Davis United World College Scholars Program schools (of which Wesleyan is a member) to design their own grassroots projects for peace that they themselves will implement anywhere in the world during the summer of 2009. Through a competition on 76 campuses, 100 projects will be selected for funding at $10,000 each. The objective is to encourage and support today’s motivated youth to create and try out their own ideas for building peace in the 21st century. All application information is available here.

There will be three information sessions at the start of the spring semester:

Thursday, January 22 at noon in Usdan 108
Friday, January 23 at noon in Usdan 108
Monday, January 26 at 6pm in Usdan 110

In the mean time, if you have any questions, please contact Cathy Lechowicz (clechowicz@wesleyan.edu)
