Wes on iTunes U and YouTube

If you’re looking for a Wesleyan-related way to avoid writing that paper you’ve been putting off all day—or if you’re an alumnus looking to stay connected to Wesleyan—University Communications and the New Media Lab have just the thing for you.

Wesleyan now has a presence on YouTube and iTunes U!

Wesleyan’s YouTube channel (cough, WesTube, cough) lets you watch Wesleyan-related videos about campus events, music, lectures, dances, athletics, and more. It’s supposed to be updated every week; right now, there’s a nifty video of campus reactions to the inauguration of President Barack Obama H’08.

Wesleyan has also created a presence on iTunes U, the educational side of Apple’s iTunes. It serves up Wesleyan-related audio and video podcasts. According to the University, there are over 90 podcasts to download, including:

  • Public Lecture Series talks
  • Writing Program talks
  • WESeminars
  • Academic lectures
  • Homecoming and Commencement videos
  • Videos of CFA events
  • Athletics podcasts

Some of these things actually look pretty entertaining, and brain-expanding. Cool.
