Clipse may be Spring Fling headliner

ClipseWhile the Social Committee co-chairs have declined to confirm the information, it appears that Clipse may be the headlining act for this year’s Spring Fling. Earlier, we had reported that Clipse was the first band confirmed and that we were expecting another headlining act to perform, but comments at Sunday’s General Assembly meeting of the WSA strongly suggest that Clipse will be this year’s main act.

According to the Student Budget Committee (SBC), the $50,000 allocated for Spring Fling was less than the Social Committee had been expecting. Due to the paucity of funding and difficulties in getting other bands to make commitments, it’s likely that Clipse may be this year’s headliner.

I should repeat that this information has not been confirmed by the Social Committee.

Does change not occur once one daring individual stirs the social nest? Those opposing Justin’s article, which admits to no libelous remarks are simply reacting out of fear from criticism.

His writing sparks such emotional reactions from people. He does not draw conclusions without reminding us of the nature of the evidence.

Simply put, his writing compels us to react strongly without injury to the associations he speaks of.

One individual wrote, why write such an investigative entry!? Well, would you rather not question an authority’s motives and decisions? Are we NOT college students? Should we just let things occur without investigation or analysis!?

    Where’s your backbone!?

    With love,

as much as i like the clipse, maybe if the school didn’t spend $ 82,000 on senior cocktails we could get an opening act thats actually somewhat relevant.

13: The post isn’t clear about what this “strong suggestion” was. If the “strong suggestion” was “$50,000 wasn’t quite what we were hoping for,” then that’s not very strong at all. If it was something else, then he should just out and say it. All the minutes are public record anyway.

ummm – so what’s the point of posting it?

wesleying – you are not investigative journalists. stop posting things based on conjecture only. how about you post something actually noteworthy and interesting instead of things only meant to instigate angry comments?

take this down. it is untrue and speculative at best. justin stop making everyone anxious and just wait until social committee actually says something about it. they couldnt keep a kid on the openers, what makes you think they can keep the headliner a secret? if there wasnt one, you would have known already

also, the sbc would never ever ever allocate $50K for only 2 mediocre acts.

What exactly is the evidence you’re basing this conclusion on? Did Clipse charge all of the $50,000 they had or something?

This is the second time nonsense has been posted on Wesleying based on evidence that was “strongly suggested,” only this time the evidence that “strongly suggests” the conclusion wasn’t even provided. Cool it with the investigative journalism.

every year, around mid-april, the social committee releases a statement with spring fling’s line up. so why is it so difficult to WAIT a few more weeks? we aren’t trying to keep information from this campus, but it’s important that we wait until every aspect of spring fling is absolutely confirmed and settled so we don’t screw ourselves over when something doesn’t pan out. please take this post down. it’s pointless and false.
