Distinguished Writers Series Presents Forrest Gander

Brown University Professor, poet, translator, essayist and novelist Forrest Gander will give a public reading TONIGHT as part of Wesleyan’s Distinguished Writers Series.
1Gander is the author of more than a dozen books, including the poetry collections Eye Against Eye and Torn Awake and the highly acclaimed novel As a Friend. He is the editor of Mouth to Mouth: Twelve Contemporary Mexican Women Poets, a bilingual anthology, and has translated numerous books of poetry including work by Bolivian poet Jaime Saenz. Gander has received fellowships from the NEA, and the Guggenheim, Whiting, Howard, and Rockefeller foundations. He is Professor of English and Comparative Literature at Brown University.
