Imani Henry, a renowned activist, writer, and performer, is coming to campus:
Mounting Strategies to Fight Racial, Sexual and Gender Oppression on Campus and Beyond (Saturday, 10:30 am-4:30 pm, 200 Church) We all want our campuses, communities, and world to be free of oppression and discrimination. Whether we call ourselves activists or not, we all see things around us that we would like to change for the better. Imani Henry and Amanda Devecka-Rinear will facilitate an interactive workshop with activities and conversation about the day-to-day issues we face. They bring their experience building national diversely-based coalitions, and students bring our own experiences and hopes. We’ll work on strategies to strengthen coalitions and campaigns. *Lunch from Typhoon!*
