The Wesleyan Friends of Africa association writes in to encourage the Wesleyan community to join and/or become a sponsor of the WesFest Walk-A-Thon.
Wesleyan Friends of Africa is hosting a Walk-a-thon to raise money for the building of a primary school for girls in Kibera, Kenya, the hometown of Kennedy Odede ’12! Please get sponsors and come out this Saturday to make this school a reality for the girls in Kibera. This slum of Nairobi currently has no education available for girls, but this Saturday YOU can help change that!
For sponsorship forms and more information, stop by the group’s table, which will be located downstairs at Usdan later this week or contact nteutsch@wes.
Date: Saturday, April 18
Time: 1pm – 4pm
Place: Walk-A-Thon starts by Usdan
Cost: $5 minimum donation or FREE if you have at least one sponsor
