Nietzsch Factor This Weekend

playing-ultimate1Come watch Nietzsch Factor men’s ultimate compete for a spot at the regional tournament! We won our last tournament undefeated, but this weekend we will be seeing some STIFFER competition. All day Saturday and Sunday, the fields behind Freeman. Bring your friends.

[Editor’s note: is that some Frisbee pun I don’t know about?]

By 1979 the team, still known as WES-U-Bee, was a solid performer in the fast-growing New England college Ultimate scene. Then a guy from Pittsburgh called David Garfield — universally known as “Nietzsch”.Garfield got the disc time and time again because he wanted it more than the other guy did. This became the “Nietzsch Factor” — that ineffable difference-maker that has defined the team over the decades.
