Not to be outdone by male counterparts Nietzsch Factor this past weekend, the women’s ultimate frisbee club team Vicious Circles also swept sectionals in Kingston, Rhode Island, for the third year in a row.
The team competed in a tournament of 9 teams from the area, including those from Brown, Yale, and the University of Rhode Island. Led by team captains Laura Masulis ’09 and Sara Hirsch ’09, Vicious Circles won all four games and did not allow any team to score more than 3 points on Saturday.
Vicious Circles went up against Brown’s Disco Inferno in a heated championship battle for the title on Sunday, and even with heavy costal winds, Vicous Circles won 10 to 6. The team will advance to New England Regionals at Dartmouth along with Nietzch Factor on May 2nd, where the competition will be better and the stakes will be higher.
Also, Vicious will be selling discs soon – look out.
