Dr. Lonnie Smith is a master of the jazz organ, commanding a worldwide fan-base, and is considered a forefather of acid jazz.  He has played with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, Grover Washington, Lou Donaldson, and many other jazz greats.  Smith has recorded on over 70 albums, including tribute albums to Hendrix and Coltrane. Co-sponsored by the Office of Affirmative Action, Office of Diversity and Strategic Partnerships, and Music Department.
