Previous Photo of Suspect Was Incorrect

stephen-morganThe original photo sent out of Stephen Morgan, with glasses and a blue background, was incorrect, according to WTNH. According to the report, the following photo, taken in May 2007, is a correct image:

“It should be noted that Mr. Morgan was last seen with thicker facial hair than is depicted in the photo, and had shoulder length hair in the back, with sparse hair coverage on top,” Lt. Liseo wrote.

This photo was been added to the Campus Security Updates page.

    @4 – Since the case is active, and so recent, it is prudent we keep some photo of him up on the website – we want to make sure everybody knows who to look out for. I suspect in the future we can take it down – we will do our best in the immediate future not to have the picture posted all over the site, so once you get past it once you won’t have to see it again.

    The Hartford Courant is reporting that the Middletown police stopped Morgan outside the bookstore but released him after writing down his name and phone number. They didn’t make the connection until HOURS later.

    Maybe you should rely on the Courant rather than WTNH. The Courant didn’t have that erroneous photo on their website.
