Sky’s the Limit?


Frank Bruni of the New York Times found some common themes in many speeches given at college graduations in the past month, which tried to somehow be both somber and comforting to students in light of the dismal economic climate.

Anna Quindlen’s commencement speech, an extended mea culpa to grads on behalf of previous generations, and an invitation to build a brave new world out of the wreckage, fit pretty squarely in the trend. And like Hillary Clinton, she mentioned Twitter.
