Andrew Bancroft ’00 on Digg (und Brüno)

Alumnus (and former Butt C resident) Andrew Bancroft ’00 has a fun job – he’s the host of the Digg Reel, a weekly internet show that compiles and adds commentary to whatever’s big on Digg at the moment.

This has afforded him the undoubtedly great pleasure of interviewing Brüno, Austrian model and fashion reporter, face to face after he agreed to answer questions from Digg readers while promoting his hilarious/offensive new movie (out in theaters tomorrow). Watch the whole thing:

Bancroft was also on hand at the Hollywood premiere of Brüno in June, where he interviewed Sacha Baron Cohen as Bruno, as well as others involved in the film like director Larry Charles, Dan Mazer, Jay Roach, and Jonah Hill. Watch the video here.

[Thanks to Jeff Malamy ’00 for the tip!]

As would be expected, Baron Cohen was fabulous, but Bancroft was tense and unreceptive. This could have been a much more interactive interview – seeing stars talk is only half the show.

I thought he did well considering what he was dealt. The awkwardness highlighted SBC’s craziness.
