So, top two reasons why you should be excited about the  Flaming Lips’ forthcoming new album, Embryonic (and yes, that is the cover art at right):

1. It’s easily the Lips’ freakiest, boldest piece of work in a decade.

2. Ben Goldwasser ’05 and Andrew VanWyngarden ’05—known to the world, of course, as MGMT—are featured on a particularly sludgy slab of Lightning Bolt-inspired noise rock entitled “Worm Mountain.” And it rules.
