Student Leadership Workshop

Want your student group to get more shit done? Katie DiBona ’11 writes in about a workshop happening this Wednesday:

Remember how difficult it can be to get things done in your student group’s meetings? Remember how it would be so nice to know the best ways to stay on topic, get things done and work together? Great. Well now there is a workshop happening that can solve all of your problems (that is a bit of an exaggeration, but maybe it can solve some of your activisty problems…)

Davey Shlasko is a really rad activist, educator and facilitator and he is coming to teach Wes students the tools they need to create their own leadership styles, and to explore and practice concrete tools for leadership in student groups.
We will learn structures that we can utilize for decision making, delegating roles and responsibilities, building alliances, maintaining accountability and boundaries, and facilitating meetings.

This looks like it will be really helpful for a wide variety of organizations on campus. Also there will be FREE DINNER! (Indian food…mmm…)

Date: Wednesday, September 23
Time: 6 – 8 pm
Where: Butt C Lounge
Why: FREE FOOD (…and more effective activism)
