Accidental Advocate TODAY @ 5 PM

Come to Film Studies 190 today for a screening of the Accidental Advocate. The film is about a man who is paralyzed from the neck down, and who looks to stem cell therapy as a possible solution to his condition. The film explores the science, ethics and politics behind the stem cell debate.

The screening will be followed by a catered reception and discussion with Jessica Gerstle, the filmmaker, and her father, Dr. Claude Gerstle (the film’s protagonist). The discussion will cover health advocacy, documentary filmmaking, and the politics of stem cell research.

The film screens TODAY at 5 PM at CFS 190.
