Auditions for The Glass Menagerie

Come audition for Second Stage‘s production of The Glass Menagerie: A Performance Experiment. We will be exploring Tennessee Williams’ classic through an original rehearsal format in which the actors (long story short) will not rehearse the material together until the actual performance; the objective is to “give truth in the pleasant disguise of illusion” by bringing a piece of realism as close to reality as possible. Performances will be at the ’92 on the 3rd and 4th of March, right before Spring Break.

For the auditions, feel free to drop by whenever is most convenient for you; each audition should take no longer than 5 minutes. If you are interested in auditioning but unavailable during these hours, or simply have a question about the production, please e-mail bkirschner@wesleyan.edu so that we can arrange another audition time. While prepared monologues are encouraged, excerpts from the play will be available for reading. All experience levels are welcome.

Date: Monday, January 25
Time: 8-11 PM
Location: Fayerweather 106
