The Raw Milk Co-op returns again! Fresh, unpasteurized milk is available from Deerfield Farm in Durham, CT through the Raw Milk Co-op
every week. The cows on this small, local farm are grass-fed, never given antibiotics, and are given the utmost care by the family-run
farm (which is why it doesnt need to be pasteurized). The milk is also unhomogenized, so that the cream rises to top and not to mention is
surprisingly delicious.
One big draw of raw milk is its superior taste, but those concerned with supporting a local dairy that doesnt use hormones or antibiotics may want to try it out for their environmental interests.

Another raw milk fact: not only is raw milk better for you because it’s free of antibiotics, but the homogenization process also kills a lot of enzymes that help your stomach digest the milk. Some people who are lactose intolerant or not able to drink milk for other reasons are not bothered by raw milk for that reason.
