Death Penalty Teach-In and Dinner

On February 17th 2004, Cameron Todd Willingham (see photo) was executed at the Texas State Penitentiary for the murder of his three young children by arson. He was 36 years old.
In August 2009, the truth was revealed: the “arson” was a freak accident, and the state of Texas had executed yet another innocent person.

Learn more about the systematic injustices of the death penalty in the US and around the world. Robert Nave, Executive Director of the Connecticut Network to Abolish the Death Penalty, will guide us through the outrageous stories and statistics surrounding capital punishment, and will show us how we can get involved with the abolition movement in Connecticut.
