Become a Wesleyan Writing Workshop Tutor or Mentor!

The Wesleyan Writing Program is hiring for 2010-2011!

The Wesleyan Writing Program has just begun the process of hiring new writing tutors for the Writing Workshop, writing mentors for freshmen, and writing mentors for Senior Thesis Writers. If you like to write, talk about your or others’ writing, or if your friends constantly ask you to edit their essays, consider getting paid for your work! Apply to be a writing tutor or mentor.

Wesleyan faculty and administration regard the writing tutor positions as the most prestigious tutoring positions at Wesleyan. Thus, writing tutors and mentors receive a stipend and one course credit in English. All tutors are trained in ENGL 491, the Ford Teaching Seminar, which meets regularly on Tuesdays, from 12-1pm.

A pre-application form is due by April 19th, and the full application as described online is due April 27th.
