Wesleyan Students’ Contribution to the Haiti Relief Effort

Over Spring Break this year, eight Wesleyan students volunteered to help the relief efforts in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The students documented their experiences with hours of video and hundreds of pictures.

The students have put together a presentation and short video discussing their trip and Wesleyan’s possible future relationship with Haiti and the relief efforts. Joining them in the discussion are Professors Gina Ulysse and Alex Dupuy, who will help examine the future of Haiti and the challenges that the country must overcome to move forward.

The presentation and following discussion will be held today (Friday, April 16th) in JUDD 116 from 3:00pm- 4:30 pm. A second more informal presentation and discussion will be held on Monday, April 19th, from 7:00pm-9:00pm in Shanklin 107 (where food will be provided from Typhoon).
